Leicester City Vs Chelsea: Cole Palmer Injury Update

Leicester City will host Chelsea on Saturday 23rd of November 2024 at 12:30 at the King Power Stadium.

Chelsea players were involved in action during the international break. However, Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill were withdrawn from the England squad due to injury concern, most players are back at Cobham training ground in preparation for Saturday's game ahead of their travel to Leicester.

Chelsea manager Maresca has confirmed that all players including Cole Palmer will be available for the Leicester City match except the Blues captain Reece James who is suffering from a thigh injury and has no return date yet has he is undergoing assessment.  " We have just one injured player, that is Reece. He felt something and we don't want to take any risk for the weekend. He is the only one that is not available for this weekend." said Maresca

Malo Gusto and Marc Cucurella are two possible replacement for the injured captain, both players have been doing well and adapted to Maresca's style of play and are expected to deliver against Leicester City.

Maresca said he is still in contact with most of the Leicester players, he admitted that he had a fantastic season at the King Power Stadium.

The Chelsea boss has disagree with many pundits who are of the opinion that Chelsea need to improve in their defence. He said his team are doing well in both attacking and defending, he further posit that there are only four clubs that has conceded less than them in the premier league, this is to solidify his stance that Chelsea are doing well in defence.

Maresca believe there are areas they can improve on in both situations.
