10 English Premier League Worst footballers for 2014/2015 season
The list below are the top 10 flops in the English Premier League 2014/2015 season.
10) Andros Townsend (Tottenham Hotspur)
Town Send is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for Tottenham Hotspur and for the England national team. A product of the Spurs academy, Townsend had loan spells with nine different clubs before gaining a regular first team place for Spurs in the 2013–14 season.
Just two goals and two assists in the league this season, it’s fair to say Andros Townsend is not living up to his label of ‘the new Gareth Bale’
9) Erik Lamela (Tottenham Hotspur)
An Argentine footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Tottenham Hotspur and the Argentina national team. He is known for his exceptional dribbling ability and pace and is nicknamed Coco.
He was a big-money signing still failing to deliver, Erik Lamela has had another hugely underwhelming season at White Hart Lane.
8) Eliaquim Mangala (Manchester City)
French professional footballer who plays for English club Manchester City and the France national football team as a central defender.
Signed for £32m last summer, Eliaquim Mangala has looked a massive waste of money for Manchester City after some shocking defensive displays.
7) Tom Cleverley (Aston Villa)
Following the expiration of his contract with Manchester United, Cleverley joined Everton on 1 July 2015
Loaned out by Manchester United to Aston Villa, Tom Cleverley has failed to show any potential during his time at Aston Villa.
6) Emmanuel Adebayor (Tottenham Hotspur)
Adebayor, is a Togolese footballer who plays as a forward for English club Tottenham Hotspur and the Togo national team
Just two goals in the Premier League for one of the country’s highest earners, Emmanuel Adebayor has been awful again this year and is surely on his way out of the club.
5) Roberto Soldado (Tottenham Hotspur)
Soldado is a Real Madrid product who is failing to show the quality of is former club.
One goal all season for a £26m striker, Roberto Soldado has been another embarrassment for Spurs this season, looking totally lost at this level.
4) Radamel Falcao (Manchester United)
One of the biggest signings of the summer, Radamel Falcao has looked surprisingly awful on loan at Manchester United.
On 3 July 2015, Chelsea signed Falcao on a season-long loan deal with the option of a permanent transfer at the end of the season
3) Vincent Kompany (Manchester City)
Belgian professional footballer who plays for and captains both English club Manchester City and the Belgium national team
An increasingly error-prone and unreliable defender, Vincent Kompany has been probably City’s worst player this season.
2) Dejan Lovren (Liverpool)
he is a Croatian footballer who plays as a central defender for Premier League club Liverpool and the Croatian national team
A £20m signing that went horribly wrong, Dejan Lovren has totally failed to make the step up from Southampton to Liverpool.
1) Mario Balotelli (Liverpool)
On 21 August 2014, A.C. Milan agreed a £16 million fee for Balotelli to return to the Premier League with Liverpool
Why Always Him !!!Just one league goal and plenty of controversy off the pitch, Mario Balotelli has been worse than could have been expected for Liverpool even if he was a risky signing.
