Ask me questions that are related to football only says Equatorial Guinea Head Coach
Head Coach Esteban Becker uses David Beckham to end questions on contested quarterfinal match against Tunisia
With the amount of questions on the last Quarterfinal match against Tunisia than on the next one against Ghana, Equatorial Guinea Head Coach Esteban Becker had to "call the help" of David Beckham to avoid any more questions on the issue.
"We should not be talking about something that does not add anything to football. If a guy married a woman, if (David) Beckham wears clean or dirty underpants… Let's talk about football. And football is 11 players against 11 in a pitch. Enough with questions that are not related to football", said the Argentinian born Becker.
Host Equatorial Guinea benefited from a hotly disputed penalty in the last minute of normal time to go on and beat a furious Tunisian team 2-1 in extra time of a chaotic African Cup quarterfinal on Saturday.
Mauritian referee Rajindraparsad Seechurn ruled that Ivan Bolado was fouled in the 90th minute with Equatorial Guinea trailing 1-0, and on the way out of its home tournament. It looked like a clear dive from Bolado with no contact made.
