Toni Pulis appointed as West Bromwich Albion Coach

West Bromwich Albion appointed Tony Pulis on Thursday as their fourth manager in just over a year to keep the club in the English Premier League.

Pulis has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Baggies and will take charge after Thursday's Premier League game at West Ham United.
The ex-Stoke City and Crystal Palace manager takes over following Alan Irvine's dismissal.

Pulis, who managed Stoke from 2006 to 2013, steered Crystal Palace clear of relegation trouble and into 11th in the second half of last season.

He quit the job at Selhurst Park two days before the start of this season and joins West Brom with the club just one point above the relegation zone.

Former head coach Irvine was sacked on Tuesday (30th December) after winning only four of his 19 league games in charge.

Pulis has never been relegated as a manager and helped Palace to 11th place last season, leading to the English Premier League manager of the year award.
