Inter Milan unveils Lukas Podolski
Lukas Podolski was presented at Inter Milan on Thursday (8th January).
On 5 January 2015, Arsenal announced on their website that Podolski had completed a move to Serie A club Internazionale on loan for the remainder of the 2014–15 season. He joined the side for training after the deal was finalised ahead of their league match away to Juventus on 6 January. In the 1–1 draw at the Juventus Stadium, he came on as a substitute for Zdravko Kuzmanović after 54 minutes.
The striker took the opportunity on Thursday to thank Arsenal for his time at the club and said "I have a good feeling" about arriving in Italy.
Inter are currently 11th in the league with a place in Europe their target for the season.
That would mean finishing at least fifth in the league, but Podolski is convinced that they still have plenty of time to achieve that.
"The situation now is not good. Everybody knows the position of the club but we have a lot of games to play and when we win the games, when we are focussed, when we fight, when we play together, I think there is a chance to get this place and this is the target for now."
The German international striker would not be drawn on where he expects to play in the Inter team, simply saying that he will discuss it with manager Roberto Mancini.
