Real Madrid take on Levante in Valencia
After the recent break for international matches, Real Madrid resume
their Spanish Primera Liga campaign on Saturday, visiting Levante in
Valencia.
"I am confident because we are in a better moment than last year, but this game is the same as last year: a hard game, difficult, because Levante are a very brave team, especially at home. They're very strong. We have to be the best Real Madrid to win tomorrow's game." said Ancelotti
Manager Carlo Ancelotti revealed at Friday's news conference that Isco will be in his team after an impressive display for Spain, but James Rodriguez's participation hangs in the balance.
"Isco played a great game with his national team, with the bad luck that his national team did not get through, but Isco will play. I still have to see about James (Rodriguez), because he arrived yesterday morning after having travelled all night and we have to see how he's doing today in the training session, see if he's fully recovered and make a decision. But Isco, however, will play." ~ Ancelotti
The striker only returned to Spain on Thursday (October 16th) morning, having flown back overnight after scoring the only goal in Colombia's 1-0 international friendly win over Canada.
Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane are defintely out - the France internationals both missed training on Friday with a fever.
The draw for the Copa del Rey's round of 32 was made on Friday morning, with Real set to face Segunda Division B side Cornella.
However, a greater concern for the European champions is the fact they are in the same half of the draw as the competition's other big guns - Barcelona and Atletico Madrid - which could make their potentiial path to the final that much more difficult.
Real currently sit fourth in the La Liga standings, four points behind leaders Barcelona.
