Atletico Madrid thrash Sevilla 4-0

Atletico Madrid keep pace with La Liga leaders Barcelona after a resounding 4-0 home win against Sevilla at the Estadio Vicente on Saturday (27th September).

Atletico Madrid's talismanic coach Diego Simeone was back stalking the touchline on Saturday, as his club played host to Sevilla in La Liga.
Simeone was back after serving a lengthy touchline ban - and the team responded to his return in sensational style.

Atletico went ahead in the 19th minute, with midfielder Jorge "Koke" Resurreccion able to get his name on the scoresheet thanks to his deflected strike.

Saul Niguez was able to claim the second goal, just before of the break, following a precision set-piece that included three players touching the ball before he headed it in at the far post.

Inside the final ten minutes Raul Garcia converted a penalty after Diogo Rosario clearly fouled Antoine Griezmann.

With just one minute of normal time remaining striker Raul Jimenez added a fourth for Atletico, to cement an impressive win.
